SAFAL (Structured Assessment For Analysing Learning), rolled out for Gr.6 & 9, serves as a stepping stone toward competency‑based education. Stepping away from rote learning by testing core concepts, real‑world application and higher‑order thinking skills and provides schools with diagnostic feedback that tracks student progress, helping shift the system to competency‑focused teaching. The results are meant to give developmental feedback to schools, not to decide grade promotion, so every classroom can grow stronger. Our students took it up with great earnestness, tackling the new, deeper challenges head‑on.
