The spirit of celebrating the UAE National Day 2022

2022-12-02

It’s all in the heart, the spirit of the celebration. The joy of celebrating a nation which for us is, ‘Our ‘Home away from Home’. In view of 51st UAE National Day, with sincere enthusiasm and with a sense of belonging, we at The Royal Academy School, celebrated the spirit of the nation with our theme, ‘Freedom in Mind, Faith in our Hearts, and Memories in our Souls’. The whole school was decked up to project a total Emirati ambience. The attire of the day was well matched with the day’s celebration. The festivities commenced in the morning with the arrival of the Guest of Honor, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim El Shehy and Officers Saleem Saed Obed and Sultan Saed Elkatby, who were escorted to the celebration venue by the Principal and the Student Leaders. Quran Recitation was followed by the Welcome Speech by the School Head Boy. The flag was hoisted by the Guest of Honor after which the UAE National Anthem was sung. How confidently and eloquently a KG student rendered his short speech on the importance of the celebration. The cultural program consisted of a Welcome Dance by the KG kiddies, a digital display of ‘Journey of UAE’s 50 years’, the Yola Dance (Primary Boys), Traditional Arabic Dance (Primary Girls), Emirati Dance (KG1 & KG2 Boys) and the Parade: ‘Solidarity to the Nation’. The School Head Girl rendered the Vote of Thanks, after which the celebrations continued, in the respective classes. Pomp and cheer were seen throughout the school, among children and adults, alike. To add to the sweetness of the festivities, Food ATM sponsored some goodies for the students. Celebrating the 1st year of the journey towards the next 50, we wish the nation and its rulers the best of everything. Happy 51st National Day.
